The Foundation for Sport and the Arts
The Foundation supports a wide range of activities where there is clear beneficial impact across the
community. Our particular goal at this time is to encourage active participation by young people. We look
for evidence of active fund raising, and the involvement and commitment of local people in trying to help
themselves, where an award of up to £40,000 can make the difference between success and failure. The
Foundation for Sport and the Arts was established in 1991. We channel money donated by Littlewoods
Gaming to a wide range of sporting and artistic causes. Since 1991 we have awarded grants worth over £350
million.
