The new Grass Roots £130m grants programme - funded by the Office of the Third Sector, was
launched in September 2008. The grants are available through local distributors - please check on the
Community Development Foundation website to find out your local distributor.
The maximum grant is £5000, available only to small voluntary and community groups. Applicants must have been in
exsistence for at least a year, have an annual income of less than £20000, be mainly run by
volunteers. Grants can be for capital or revenue.
