Lottery - Awards for All

From 1 April 2009 each of the lottery distributors supporting the Awards for All scheme created their
own small grants programme.

Sport England Small Grants Programme

(All applications must be made on line) www.funding.sportengland.org

Awards are for amounts from £300 to £10,000, The total project cost should not exceed £50,000.

  • Projects must be deliverable within 12 months and provide a monitoring report within 13 months of
    the date of the offer letter.
  • Projects must seek to increase participation in sport, sustain participation in sport or provide opportunities to excel at a chosen sport.
  • Sporting outcomes must be the main focus of the project.
  • Applications for projects using sport as a means to an end are acceptable, but there must be a clear sporting benefit
  • Projects must be focused only on sports currently recognised by Sport England and delivered to beneficiaries based in England 
  •  Decisions within six weeks.

Big Lottery Fund -

 a new small grants programme awarding grants of £300 to £10,000 to local
communities

Arts Council England

will provide small grants through their existing 'Grants for the Arts' programme,
supporting awards between £1000 and £100,000.
Heritage Lottery Fund small grants will be provided through the existing @Your Heritage' (£3000 -
£50000) and 'Young Roots' (£3000 to £25000) schemes.
